Hello Friends

Hello Friends... Welcome to our family website...hoping it will be an easy way to keep everyone up to date with our crazy lives! Let's see, the latest with us...Luke is as sweet and talkative as ever. The question of the day is "WHY?"- he is so curious and eager to learn, it can drive a sane person crazy at times:o) He is one smart cookie and amazes us daily. He is LOVING school, learning new songs and meeting new friends. It really has been a tremendously wonderful thing for him to have a little independence. As for little miss Addie, what a girlie girl! She is really into baby dolls, shoes and daddy lately! So sweet- but she has devil in her eyes, boy are we in trouble! She is already throwing full blown temper tantrums- IN PUBLIC! those are great fun!!! But when she decides to give you a hug it is enough to melt you for sure :o) She is talking so much and it is so fun to hear all the new words. Auntie Staci and Cousin Cody came out for a visit and really got a chance to enjoy them. Cody is an incredibly sweet boy and his kisses are the best! He's pretty darn cute too! Cousin Andrew came down as well and we all got together and took a trip to the "pumpkin hatch"( as Luke calls it!). It was fun to see them all together and watch big boy cousin Andrew watch after them all and let Luke walk around holding his hand! Andrew has been involved with Scouts for awhile now and has been such a great role model for Luke latley- he is such a loving boy and really great with the kids, Luke really looks up to him. Both kids are really enjoying having their grandma and grandpa so close and really cherish their time together. Addie has a real soft spot for grandma Bebby and can say "grandpa" with such enthusiasm- gets him everytime- smart girl!!! Luke really loves his one-on-one time with them when he gets to sleep over and "camp" in the trailer-we all feel so lucky!!! As most of you know my dad suffered from a heart attack last week, but thankfully he is recovering well- except for his battle with shingles- what a nightmare that is for him! We took a quick trip to see him in the hospital and then back home about 36 hours later, but it really boosted his spirits to see the kids, so it was so worth the trip!! The kids were excited to see Grammy and Opah as well- Luke had been missing them a lot lately and was sad to leave. We managed to see Cousin Jake while we were there and he and Luke enjoyed a few rounds of wrestling! Made his daddy so proud!!!We hope to make a real trip down next year so we can have some time to visit with everyone. As for us, well I'm 33 today- where has the time gone? The kids keep me pretty busy so I still feel 23! I've been working as an apprentice with my neighbor who is an amazing ph otographer. I'm learning so much, and having a blast. Rick is staying busy, as always...still running Lukenlil and training as a ProMixed Martial Arts fighter (otherwise known as CAGE FIGHTING!!!!) He is loving it and hoping to get some more fights soon. People think he is a little crazy and can't believe I watch him fight, but really it is an incredible sport and I have a ton of confidence in his trainer and in Rick's abilities, so I'm just happy he has found something that fulfills his competitve drive. We are still in a sort of limbo with regards to his police career...hoping to have a job offer from Roseville or Sacramento PD by March 2007, keep your fingers crossed for Roseville- certainly my preference. We are getting ready for Halloween tomorrow- Luke is dressing as Kid Evil- his pro wrestling father/son tag team alter ego ( try finding a costume for THAT!) and Addie is supposed to be a bumblebee- but of course that all depends on how much "Addie-tude" she has tomorrow. My gut tells me it is going to be a battle to get her in the costume, should make for some fun photos! Wishing you all a happy and safe halloween....and of course all our love!!! Sally
